Be careful if you choose to climb down because the path is not always clear. It's definitely worth driving the loop around the coast if you're in the area and stopping here is a no-brainer if you do.

Legend has it the rock formation was once a troll turned to stone by the morning sunlight! Wander the black sand beach under the watchful eyes of scores of seals!

Majestic setting and wonderful scenery. Drive carefully to get to and walk down to the beach very carefully. Well worth it!
